Letty's Dress

Letty was asked to be in her cousin's wedding and, after meeting the Silk Queen in a dream, Letty asked for a silk dress. It makes an ideal child's dress for parties or weddings.

The finished sizes of this dress can be chosen from 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 years or chest sizes 22, 23.5, 25, 26.5 27 inches (size 4 is shown in the picture).

The dress is worked from the top down and takes 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) skeins, 50g each (220 yards per skein), of our 100% Silk Fingering weight yarn. This yarn comes in natural cream only, and may be purchased in either 50g (220 yards) or 100g (440 yards) hanks.

The smallest size can be made as a baby's Christening gown in our 100% Wool Feather Weight Lace yarn. It takes 1 skein (2oz) for a gown 20 inches long and 2 skeins if you want to make a longer heirloom. The Feather Weight Lace yarn is packaged in 2 oz skeins for $6.00/skein.
