These dolls are designed to look like traditional sock monkeys, but are knit instead of sewn together out of sock pieces. Any weight yarn can be used, and the size of the finished monkey will vary accordingly, from a sitting height of 14" with fingering weight yarn to a sitting height of 27" using bulky weight yarn.

If you stick to the usual colors for sock monkies; natural colored yarn for the cream and gray colors can be found on this page for sport, medium and bulky weight yarn, and red can be found here. The fingering weight colors can be found here.

We've added a kit in sport weight yarn which will produce a toy with a sitting height of 18 inches. The stuffing and buttons are not included.
